Intrepid Irene Robinson had a genuine blast on her round-the-globe journey – after she became the very first person to play the bagpipes on all seven continents. 

Kilt-clad Irene’s round-the-globe odyssey saw her travel 50,000 miles in 50 days to pipe at famous landmarks. 

She braved knee-knocking -20C temperatures in Antarctica and the dizzy heights of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio as section of her unique trek.

The 57-year-old likewise played at the famous Radio City Music Hall in Brand-new York and a prison cell on Alcatraz for the north American leg then bemused pedestrians at the world’s busiest road crossing in Japan for the Asia part.

Her seventh and last leg of her tour, called Bagpipe the World, saw her pipe in front of the Kremlin in Moscow.
