An intoxicated passenger became so unruly on board an Alaska Airlines flight that the plane had to divert so he could be removed by police, the carrier says.
Fellow passengers said the disruptive man was verbally abusive and earned threats to kill individuals seated near him or her as the Boeing 737-900 flew from Boston to San Diego.
Footage captured on board shows passengers cheering and applauding as he was escorted off the plane adhering to the disturbance last night.

After the man refused to calm down and earned threats the crew decided to divert to Denver’s airport
Several passengers tweeted regarding the experience on board flight 769 as the man’s behaviour required the crew to divert to Denver Worldwide Airport as a precaution.
A Twitter user named Claire wrote: ‘There was a pretty intoxicated guy on the flight, that began threatening various other passengers, saying we “we’re every one of gonna die”.
‘After that he started making threats at various other passengers. Flight crew and passengers handled it so well.’
After the ‘drunk and belligerent’ man was removed, she wrote: ‘God bless him, he believed the cops were his “vehicle service” and asked them to ensure his luggage got to his house.’

As the man neared the door at the front of the plane, passengers cheered and applauded
Twitter user Rebecca Shepard wrote: ‘Crazy dude on my lane to San Diego from Boston. @AlaskaAir flight attendants handling so professionally.’
Later, she added: ‘Insane drunk or drug fueled dude being removed from our @AlaskaAir plane after disturbing several passengers.’
